"To celebrate 30 years of blur’s The Great Escape, the 30th Anniversary edition on 2xLP includes a bonus disc of rare b-sides which have never been released on vinyl before. Originally released on 11th September 1995, this iconic album captured the spirit of Britpop at its peak and marked a defining moment in the band’s career. The Great Escape was the follow-up to blur's global breakthrough album Parklife and it charted at no. 1 selling over 125,000 copies in its first week, going on to achieve Triple Platinum status in the UK. It defined mid-’90s Britain, both the optimism and the underlying malaise and ultimately became the record that placed Blur at the heart of one of the most talked-about moments in music history." - Parlophone
